Empowering Students to Bring Valentine's Day to the Homeless!

Valentine's boxes that spread love and encouragement to those who need it most.

As a parent or a teacher, have you wondered “how can I inspire my child or student to a larger purpose in life?” Do you ever wonder that you may have missed an opportunity, even small, that could have changed the direction of their lives? Do you want them to learn leadership skills? Homeless at Heart can give you one of these opportunities or help you answer the questions. We believe that students, at a young age, can develop significant compassion for those less fortunate by learning about people who are homeless and engaging with them through acts of love and kindness. We also believe students can learn to lead others and organize a socially focused business.

Homeless at Heart is looking for parents and teachers who want to inspire students and give them a proven model for engaging in a socially entrepreneurial initiative. Our model is very simple: our participating schools and their student leaders create bags and boxes with needed essentials and handwritten Valentine cards that are then distributed to the homeless population in their cities. Through these actions, they send powerful messages of hope and love to the homeless.

Homeless at Heart was created as a result of an 11 year old Atlanta student's aspiration in January, 2015 to make 10 Valentine boxes with handwritten cards for the homeless. Two years later, in 2017, we gave away approximately 13,500 boxes and bags with Valentine cards in Atlanta, Birmingham, Oklahoma City and Albany, Georgia. Your child or student may be just like the 11 year old. Join us to give students the inspiration, the opportunity and a personal challenge that could change their life. Join us as a parent and inspire the student. Join us as a student and learn how to lead and build a socially entrepreneurial initiative. Join us as a donor and use your gifts to create opportunities for students to develop the leadership skills at a young age and be our community leaders of tomorrow.
