GET INVOLVED

  • We’re looking for motivated, socially minded student entrepreneurs who want to lead their own initiative and take ownership of the results. Running a Homeless at Heart initiative provides hands-on experience in managing supply and demand, collaborating with others to achieve shared goals, and serving as a spokesperson for the cause. It’s an opportunity for students to challenge themselves, discover their strengths, and identify areas for growth—all while making a real impact in their community.

  • A Homeless at Heart initiative is a meaningful way for schools, youth groups, and organizations to bring Valentine’s Day joy to the homeless community. Groups can get involved by raising funds, collecting supplies, packing bags, and/or writing handwritten Valentine’s cards. Each effort plays a part in creating Valentine bags filled with essentials and love.

No matter the age group, every participant helps make a difference—from crafting cards to assembling and delivering bags to shelters and street ministries. Partnering with Homeless at Heart is not only a service project, but also a chance for students and members to learn compassion, teamwork, and the joy of giving back.

We’re proud to partner annually with Morningside Elementary, First Presbyterian, Westminster, and Whitefield, engaging students through school-wide efforts as well as our student ambassador program.

  • By partnering with Homeless at Heart, your shelter can participate in programs that not only meet immediate needs but also share encouragement and compassion with your clients throughout the year.

Our signature Valentine’s Campaign provides clients with personalized bags filled with essentials and handwritten cards. Beyond Valentine’s, we also host community dinners, seasonal projects, and other outreach efforts designed to connect volunteers with those in need in meaningful ways.

We’re honored to partner annually with Salvation Army, Trinity, Atlanta Mission, City of Refuge, Wellspring Living, 7 Bridges to Recovery, and MUST Ministries, joining forces to support our community.

  • Homeless at Heart is a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization and accepts tax deductible contributions of money and goods, helping us to achieve our mission. Checks can be mailed to the address below and we will send a receipt for your records.

A contribution of just $5 covers the cost of one Valentine’s box, so a $100 gift provides 20 boxes filled with essentials and love. We also welcome in-kind donations such as handwritten cards to someone in need. Every donation brings us closer to spreading love and compassion to more people each Valentine’s season.
